Gun Control

Here's the thing; as I understand it, only semi-automatic weapons are sold in this country. I am not a gun expert, but intuitively, I don't see how using "assault rifles" would be any different from using a Colt 45 or any hand gun for that matter. In fact, I would guess due to size etc., it would actually be harder to shoot an assault rifle than a hand-gun. Both will kill a person. However, hand guns are probably more efficient - one could potentially fire two guns at the same time - or at least hold one in each hand. I might be mistaken, but it seems an assault rifle is generally a 2-handed effort? Do I have this right? I don't know if one can fire one of these with only one hand. So, if minimizing "efficiency" and "effectiveness" is the goal - banning hand-guns 1st would seem the logical way to go. Am I missing something here?

The REAL problem is not "law" - it's the cancer of the human soul, character, and heart; no law fixes this. There is only one remedy for a sick human heart, it's God and as a nation we are doing just about everything possible to get rid of Him; we are taking Him out of our culture just about every chance we get.
