Christian Spirituality (How to Love God as a Saint)

Below is the link and a primary source I will be referring to and including on occasions as a modest treatment on Christian Spirituality - aka - "The Science of the Saints" is attempted.  There is NO good substitute for the genius of the saints themselves, however, I am hoping some of the more basic elements of the Spiritual Life may provide further "light" on the depth and scope of their genius.  The central concern is - How does one become a saint....that is follow the 2 Great Commandments as well as possible.  Different aspects of the spiritual life will be introduced and touched.  Questions or comments are likely for any who follow this - PLEASE - feel free to ask or comment as desired :)  This in part is an adaptation of a class I have taught on a few occasions on this subject, and virtually always touch on in some manner whenever giving classes on Christian Prayer.

The opening remarks of Part 2 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church - "Liturgy and the Sacraments" - speak on the very purpose and goal of creation: The Greater Glory of God and the Salvation of souls."

"1066 In the Symbol of the faith the Church confesses the mystery of the Holy Trinity and of the plan of God's "good pleasure" for all creation: the Father accomplishes the "mystery of his will" by giving his beloved Son and his Holy Spirit for the salvation of the world and for the glory of his name.1"
