For Christians, faith means turning to Christ, surrendering our lives to Christ, and believing in Christ's Holy Gospel. As the great Saint Ambrose of Milan once advised in the face of all our human needs: "If you wish to heal your wounds, He is the doctor. 
If you are burning with fever, He is the spring.
If you are oppressed by sin, he is mercy.
If you need help, He is strength.
If you are afraid of death, He is life.
If you desire heaven, He is the way.
If you flee darkness, He is the light.
If you search for food, he is nourishment.
Taste and see that the Lord is good, happy the man who shelters in Him."
